Here's how it works...

Set up your webcam, record your thoughts and send it to us or we can even open a live skype channel and record it then and there. We'll then transpose it, strip out the ____ and ____ and send you back a transcript and video. We can even chop your video into separate little blogs.

So, give it a go. To show you how it works we've set up a blog with Al, our founder. Check it out on the right hand navigation. If you like it, get in touch.

What makes the iconic so?

2011 is the 50th anniversary of the E-Type Jaguar, but what is it that makes the E-Type so iconic?

It's been 50 years since the E-Type first took to the roads and turned envious heads. But why is it so iconic and remained so popular? Others have also achieved it; the Aston Martin DB5, the Ford GT and the Mini. In other fields icons have arisen: Rayban Aviators, Levi 501s, the Fender Stratocaster, even the BIC ball point.

What is it that turns one car, a pair of jeans or a pen into something more? Is it the aesthetics? The ergonomics? Perhaps it's the concept or marketing. Whatever it is, there is one thing that they all share in common. They are all brilliant at what they do and answer their pitches perfectly. Luxurious and executive, affordable reliability, durable and trendy or just cool. The Stratocaster, the electric guitar that all but the rogues aspire to, is the product of its precursors, design, testing and research.

And so, although the E-Type is undoubtedly still one of the coolest cars on the road, to me it will always be a symbol of all the arduous work that that is endured but never seen.

The water machine that set an example...

Meet the newest member of the ABA team, a T6 water machine.

It may not seem much, but this little beauty dispenses hot and cold water, has reduced the delivery time of tea (designer's life blood) to one minute and is 67% cheaper than the office water coolers that it replaced. Is there anyone who can match it for efficiently?

Perhaps at this time of austerity we should take the T6 approach and ask ourselves who can do more and work faster? T6 - lead the way.

Putting the strong foot forward

This morning we received our edition of Footprints, the Spurgeons magazine. Out of it fell this little gem. Needless to say, the designers were pleased with the execution of the brand.

Have a drink on us...

I’ve received enough promotional fliers and spoken to more than the required amount of salespeople to learn that ‘a free give away’ is more than likely a manipulative offer tied in so many terms and conditions that it would take an entire summer holiday to plough through them. Such has been my experience that I have lost all faith in ‘free’ offers and the brand that offer them.
At a recent networking event we wanted to offer something better than an embossed pen that didn’t come with the dreaded T’s and Cs. What does a completely free gift look like; a gift free of T’s and C’s and subversive manipulation?
This is what we came up with...

We dressed contact cards in five pound notes (crafted by our designer, Jaimie) and gave them away. By a drink, get a kebab, stash it in your wallet; we don’t care what you do, this is a gift from us.
And that was that.
